In this case it is necessary one card per person and it doesn't have extra cost, it covers supplements too. You have also the option of a tourist card that covers unlimited trips in all means of transport in the city: bus, cercanías and metro (except the bus express aeropuerto 203). The card can be shared between several people that travel together. Metro (subway): you have metro in all the terminals but this is the one that I recommend the less, because you have to do more than one transfer and also you have to pay an airport supplement of 3€ apart from the ticket (2€), and previously you need a card that costs 2'50€ to load it with tickets and supplements. The line of Cercanías that you have to take is C1 or C10, they are the only ones that run from the airport so there is no possibility to take the wrong train. Once you are in the terminal 4, go to the lower floor. You can move between terminals by the free shuttle which is a bus that you have to take outside and the journey between terminals takes aprox 10 minutes.
